After that he entered the Dikwella Watarukanna Pirivena to learn Sanskrit and Pali in order to become a Buddhist monk. He is considered as one of the most prominent Sri Lankan scholars the country has seen in several centuries.Īt the beginning he entered the Buddhist School in Dikwalle.
